Lucas is an attorney who advises new and existing business ventures.
Lucas T. Regnier is a seasoned attorney and educator with a deep well of experience in transactional law, including securities law compliance, corporate law and governance, intellectual property protection, mergers and acquisitions, and deal closings across a variety of industries.
Lucas graduated cum laude from Tulane Law School and began his career practicing commercial litigation. His background in litigating commercial disputes gives him an invaluable perspective in drafting contracts and anticipating deal pitfalls. Lucas was a partner in a prominent New Orleans law firm before relocating to northwest Arkansas in 2010. Today, his legal practice serves the broad spectrum of needs of small and mid-cap businesses, with particular emphasis on issues facing startups and their founders.
He has taught at the University of Arkansas School of Law as a visiting instructor, where he created a course on Representing Startups as well as teaching upper-level courses on contract drafting. He serves presently as a lecturer at the University of Arkansas Sam M. Walton College of Business, where he teaches courses on alternative dispute resolution as well as ethics & corporate responsibility. He regularly guest lectures in other courses at the University of Arkansas.
In addition to his professional and academic pursuits, Lucas is actively involved in his community. He presently serves as president of the board of Ozark Natural Science Center and as a board member of Friends of Fayetteville Parks. He has served in the past in officer roles on the board of Canopy NWA and the Fayetteville Creative School.
